Unemployment stats released this week show a rise in Warwickshire’s JSA claimants

The Job Seekers’ Allowance (JSA) claimant count level in December 2010 was 8,660 in Warwickshire. This represents an increase of 51 claimants or 0.6% from the previous month.

Although it’s worth bearing in mind the rate at which the claimant count has increased in December is set against large falls in October and November (falls of 537 and 213 claimants respectively). Monitoring the claimant count over the next few months will be imperative to see if the rise in those claiming JSA continues into the new year.
