Quality of Life 2010 Key Messages – Health Indicators

The health of people in Warwickshire is generally better than the England average. However, adult obesity is estimated to be slightly higher than the national average and the performance across a range of health indicators suggests a more varied picture. Children in North Warwickshire and Nuneaton and Bedworth record higher levels of obesity and the rate of under-18 conceptions remains highest in the latter.

Nuneaton and Bedworth generally performs less well on measures relating to healthy lifestyles, with higher proportions of people estimated to smoke, be at risk of harmful drinking, eat fewer portions of fruit and vegetables and do less exercise.
