Warwickshire Observatory at the LARIA Conference

The Observatory will be well represented at next week’s LARIA Annual Conference. LARIA is the Local Authorities Research & Intelligence Association, and provides a network for supporting research nationally across the public sector.  The 2011 Conference has the theme ‘Doing more with less: maximising the value and impact of research and intelligence’.

Dave Gardiner will be presenting the results of a recent project to support colleagues in our Waste Management team.  Our detailed analysis of recycling participation rates across the north of the county has been used to target marketing activity, with considerable effect.  You can get a preview of his presentation, ‘Thinking inside the Red Box‘, here.

We’ll also be promoting our work on the Warwickshire Blueprint, which you may already be familiar with.  We’ve produced a poster to showcase the project alongside other innovative pieces of work from other public sector organisations.

The Observatory Manager, Andy Davis, will be hosting the conference in his role as Chair of LARIA.
