Yesterday the Office for National Statistics (ONS) released their annual, local authority level mid-year population estimates for 2010.
According to the 2010 mid-year estimates, the population of the United Kingdom stands at 62.3 million in mid-2010, up 470,000 (0.8 per cent) on the previous year; the highest annual growth rate since mid-1962.
The total population of Warwickshire is estimated at 536,000 – an increase of 900 people (or 0.2%) on the mid-2009 figure of 535,100. This rate of growth falls below the national growth (0.8%) and regional growth (0.4%) between mid-2009 and mid-2010.
