National Survey of Charities & Social Enterprises – Warwickshire results available

We have just received a copy of the Warwickshire report from the National Survey of Charities and Social Enterprises.  The survey, conducted by Ipsos Mori on behalf of the Office for Civil Society, gathered information from more than 44,000 organisations across the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector.

The objectives of the survey are to…

  • Explore the composition of the sector locally, and identify any gaps in provision.
  • Gather feedback on our with the sector, including which parts of the sector are being reached, and whether these organisations feel understood, valued and involved.
  • Understand funding sources most important to organisations’ success, and identify areas for improving local commissioning practice.
  • Review the support needs of organisations in your local area, and determine areas for action.

In Warwickshire, 487 organisations responded to the survey.  The survey was also conducted in 2008 (529 respondents), enabling us to compare results over the short term.  Our interpretation of the results will be included in the forthcoming Quality of Life in Warwickshire Report 2011/12.
