Youth Service Needs Analysis

The Warwickshire Observatory has recently updated the Youth Service Needs Analysis for colleagues in the County Council.  The main Report gives data and and information at a County level and three separate Reports give breakdowns for the North Area (North Warwickshire and Nuneaton & Bedworth Boroughs), East Area (Rugby Borough) and South Area (Warwick and Stratford-on-Avon Districts).

The Reports include data on population, teenage pregnancy and young mothers, young offenders, youth service membership, education, e.g. take up of free school meals, GCSE attainment, unauthorised absence, etc.,  and, for the first time, information on drug and alcohol related admissions to hospital.

Copies of the main Report and three Area Reports are available here:

Further information on the production of the Reports is available from the Observatory.  Information on how the Reports are being used to help set priorities can be obtained from Peter Hatcher at Warwickshire County Council: peterhatcher@warwickshire.gov.uk.
