Customer Insight Project – Rogue Trader Zones

Warwickshire Trading Standards are currently rolling out ‘Yee Haa – No Rogue Trader’ zones across the county. The Yee Haa campaign focuses on increasing people’s awareness and protection from doorstep crime and centres on hot spot areas across Warwickshire to discourage rogue traders.

As part of Warwickshire County Council’s Trading Standards ongoing work, a greater understanding of communities vulnerable to rogue traders was required.  The Observatory was commissioned to explore potential opportunities for identifying target areas in Warwickshire that would benefit from the introduction of ‘No Rogue Trader’ zones and evaluate the existing Rogue Trader zones in place in the County using rogue trader incident data over the past five years provided by Trading Standards.  This was mapped alongside Mosaic to profile previous victims of Rogue Trader zones.
