First release of 2011 Census announced

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) have just announced Monday 16th July as the date for the first release of 2011 Census data. Due to the volume of 2011 Census results, the statistics will be released in four phases. This first release of data will include population estimates for England and Wales at single year of age and sex. Census population estimates at local authority level  by five year age bands and sex will also be available.  Estimates of occupied households for England and Wales down to local authority level will also be released. For further information see the ONS website

Warwickshire Observatory will be publicising the first phase of data release as well as putting together our own briefing note on the new data.
