A fourth month of falls in Warwickshire’s claimant count

The Job Seekers’ Allowance (JSA) claimant count in June 2012 was 8,015 in Warwickshire; a rate of 2.4% of the resident working age population and 2.9% of the economically active population. This represents a fall of 323 claimants or 3.9% from the previous month.

Warwickshire’s claimant count has continued to fall over the past month mirroring the downward trend seen in March, April and May.  All of Warwickshire’s Districts/Boroughs have seen a fall in claimants from May to June 2012.  Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough has seen the largest percentage reduction over the past month, a 4.6% reduction in claimants from May to June 2012 while Stratford-on-Avon has seen the smallest percentage reduction, albeit still a 2.5% fall in claimants.
